Starting soon: Life Courses
At Bishop Ridley Church we believe that relationships are one of the most important parts of life. Creating long lasting, strong and supportive relationships can be difficult to build which is why we are running courses to help you think important issues through then discuss them with your partner. These courses are not designed for couples with ‘bad’ relationships, though of course those who are struggling are most welcome, they are instead designed for people who recognise that relationships are so important and want to invest in them. Below you can find out more about each course we will be running over the coming months.
The Pre-Marriage Course
The Pre-Marriage Course is a series of five sessions, designed for couples considering marriage, whether engaged or not, and wishing to build a strong and lasting relationship. While based on Christian principles, it is relevant and helpful for any couple with or without a Christian faith or church background.
How does it work?
Each session consists of a talk then time for private discussion between the couples and lasts for 1 hour 45 minutes, half of which will be for your conversations. Over five sessions you will explore:
Communication, Conflict, Commitment, Connection and Adventure.
When does it start?

The Marriage Course
The Marriage Course is a series of seven sessions, designed to help married couples invest in their relationship and build a strong marriage.
How does it work?
Each session consists of a talk then time for private discussion between the couples and lasts for 1 hour 55 minutes, half of which will be for your conversations. Over seven sessions you will explore:
Strengthening connection, The art of communication, Resolving conflict, The power of forgiveness, The impact of family, Good sex and Love in action.
When does it start?
