Giving children a gift this Christmas
Bishop Ridley Church and it's local community have given children around the world the gift of Christmas
This year Bishop Ridley Church was again able to join in with collecting physical shoebox gifts. And how generous the church and local community were! The shoeboxes were taken to ChristChurch Sidcup - our local collection point - to join with many other shoeboxes from the local area which are now being checked and shipped to more than 100 countries around the world.
Rev Mark, said:
"Yet again I have been bowled over by the generosity of our church and local community. Through their kindness many children around the world will receive a special gift and hear the true meaning of Christmas. Thank you so much to everyone who gave a Shoebox."
Operation Christmas Child works with local churches like Bishop Ridley to show God's love in a tangible way to children in need around the world and to share the Good News of Jesus Christ. Since 1990, more than 186 million children in over 160 countries have experienced God's love through the power of simple shoebox gifts.
If you missed the opportunity to give a shoebox gift you can still build a shoebox online.
