First social event for more than 18 months
On Saturday (11 December) Bishop Ridley hosted it's annual Christmas Community Meal. It is an opportunity for people who live alone in Falconwood, to celebrate Christmas with an afternoon of festive food and friends. Guests also enjoyed a programme of entertainment including magic and music.

Volunteers of all ages made the meal possible with laying tables, cooking, taking coats, serving among the many roles required to make sure the dozens of guests who attended ate well and had a great time.
Rev Mark, said:
"Everyone I spoke to said what a great afternoon they had. For some that I spoke to it was the first social event they had been to in more than 18 months! To them it was a highlight of the year and a special time. We are glad to be able to provide that as part of being at the heart of Christmas. My very many thanks to all our volunteers, without them the Christmas Community Meal couldn't have happened".
