Mourning HM Queen Elizabeth II 

Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II
1926 - 2022

Like many in Falconwood, we are saddened by the death of Her Majesty The Queen. Our thoughts and prayers are with King Charles III and the rest of  the Royal Family. Over the coming days we will mourn but also give thanks for a long life of service to God, to nation and to Commonwealth

The church is open everyday from 09:30 am until 4:30pm for private prayer and quiet reflection until Tuesday 20 September. There will also be a book of condolence available to sign.  

Evening Prayer
There will be a special Evening Prayer service to remember the late Queen Elizabeth II and reflect on her life, in church on Friday 9 September at 6:30pm and Saturday 17 September at 5:15pm. 

Live screening of funeral
The funeral will be screened live in the church on Monday 19 September from 10am. 

A prayer for Her Late Majesty the Queen
Blessed Jesus,
Lord of Lords and King of Kings,
we give you thanks
for our late sovereign, Queen Elizabeth II.
for the grace and mercy
she received from you,
for all that she reflected
of your gracious sovereignty,
and for the great love she held
for you and for her people.
Enfold her in your everlasting arms
grant her rest
and raise her up at the last
in the company of the saints in light.
Amen
