Falconwood's Harvest Festival

22.09.20 - Harvest Festival ba
Falconwood's Harvest Festival Parade Service - Sunday 2 October 2022 - 10:30am - Bishop Ridley Church.

While we may no longer live rural lives ruled by 'working the land', each year Harvest Festival still provides us with a chance to say thank you for all the things we have - not least our food. Here in Falconwood, the first Sunday in October is the time we can come together as a community to give thanks and reflect on how fortunate we are.

This year we will be supporting the Bexley Foodbank.  They urgently need:
Deodorant
Washing pods
Sweets, chocolate, treats
Long-life fruit juice
Bottled squash
Tinned rice pudding
Long-life semi-skimmed milk
Sugar
Tinned fish
Tinned fruit
Noodles
Custard
Tinned spaghetti
Coffee
Toiler paper
Shower gel
Toothpaste
Carrier bags

But they have plenty of:
Beans
Pasta
Soup
Tea
Cereal
Baby formula
Baby food
Tampons & pads
Pulses

Find out what is in a food parcel. Last year Bexley Foodbank gave out 10,025 three-day emergency food supplies given to people in crisis. You can help make sure no local person goes hungry. Donate some of the much needed items at Falconwood's Harvest Festival at 10:30am on Sunday 2 October.
