Families: What the Bible says about families

Families sermon series 2024 Po

Families come in all shapes and sizes with a multitude of different dynamics. Each family is its own micro-culture with various rules, practices and traditions. So what does the Bible say about them?  This Summer, Bishop Ridley Church will be finding out. The Bible is full of families, beginning with Adam and Eve, down to Jesus' own family. Almost every story in the Bible relates to families in someway because most of the Bible is about people - and we all have families. The Bible is also about a bigger family - God's family.

Families are often based on love and for many are a safe place but for others they are messy, painful and disappointing. A lack of family can also be painful for those whose family members have died or because they've been unable to have their own family. Whatever the word family means to you and how it makes you feel, this sermon series will have something to say to you.

So what does the Bible say about families? Come along from Sunday 30 June and through July to find out.
