Falconwood's new tradition as popular as ever

On Monday (13 December) more than 300 people from Falconwood gathered outside Bishop Ridley Church for Carols on The Green.

21.12.13 - Carols on The Green
300 people gathered at Carols on The Green, Falconwood's new tradition

The festive event brought the community together to sing carols, eat mince pies and drink mulled wine and hot chocolate. Despite a break last year due to COVID-19 restrictions, many local people came out to enjoy the event which is hosted by Bishop Ridley Church ad Falconwood Community Centre and locally known as Falconwood's new tradition.

Rev Mark, Vicar of Bishop Ridley Church, said:
"It was great to have the community back together for Carols on The Green. I know for many local people it marks the beginning of the festive season. It just one of the ways we are at the heart of Christmas in Falconwood."

The mince pies were kindly donated by a local family.
